Photobucket must DIE DIE DIE
« on: Aug 20, 2017, 15:03:50 »
Just need to vent my spleen on this topic although I know I am far from the first to do so.

Photobucket has done more in 60 days to fuck up more web forums than anything I can possibly think of. I can't imagine how much valuable content is now a mess as a result of them breaking third party links without paying ransom.

I wish Google would buy them and restore the links. Or something.

It will be the death of PB - no one is going to pay $400 a year for 3rd party hosting and all that will happen is they will get less traffic.....and die.

Yeah, this is the last of the death throes of photobucket.  I agree, they completely fucked over a ton of web content from across so many of my hobbies (among the countless other things they screwed up).  It is really frustrating.

Agreed. The whole internet is reeling from it, and it's not going to get fixed. Sooooo much useful stuff will just be lost.

Image shack did similar, but it was only $30 I think.  I paid it so that I could save my old photos, and thats the end of me using them.
