I’m contemplating on upgrading to the Mikuni carbs, but wondering if anyone has experience running them? VM30 or VM32? Why?

I’ll be running lightly baffled straight-through to exhaust just past the rear axle, and pod filters.

There are pre-jetted kits out there for both sizes, but I’m thinking that VM32 for an otherwis stock engine is too big?

Can I get away with VM30?

get these and rejet lol

These look cool, but don’t know too much about them? Do you know what size they are?

Also, after I get the new boots, jets, filters, and whatever else I’d need to fit these, I’ll be nearing the price of a complete Mikuni VM30 kit

Do you have experience with these Sudco carbs?

Here is a list of everything that comes in most kits...

2 Pre-jetted carburetors
2 High Performance Pod Filters
Model Specific Throttle Cable <——
Mikuni Tuning Manual
Custom Designed Billet Manifolds w/Gaskets
Heavy Duty Manifold Adapters w/Clamps <——
Heavy Duty Fuel Line w/Clamps
Extra bag of main and pilot jets for fine tuning:
Extra Mains: #175 & #195
Extra Pilots: #30 & #40

Does anyone know:

Is it possible to to use the stock manifold adapters on Mikuni carbs? Or do I need the new “heavy duty” ones??

Also, do I need a special throttle cable? Or can I use the OEM Honda throttle cable?

the heavy duty manifolds will be mikuni spigots

i wonder why if they are prejetted you need a bag of jets lol

and they are 175 and 195 that is a big jump around what happened to 180 185 190 same with pilots 30 and 40 is a world apart

30 32.5 35 37.5 40

better read the feed back on some of these kits and if they work
