2015 DTT/UK show ?????????

My 2p worth, (coming from someone new to DTT and building with a real turd of a bike so please ignore me if you wish :-X )

I think the UK as a region is pretty big, have you considered shows at a more local level as well as national events. I know that in my home county of Norfolk there are many shows that happen throughout the warmer months, not just bike specific shows but other country shows. they tend to have have displays from Jam's to Jaguars and welcome exhibitors. I think promoting DTT at both large national events and at local ones might get more exposure.

Fenman Classic http://www.fenmanclassic.co.uk/index.html is a local (5 Minutes from me) show where the entire village is taken over by bikes. There is a classic show, mostly British bikes, but they do have classes for pre 85 Jap bikes and pre 85 specials. The show itself takes place in the school grounds, but there is stuff going on, on the village green too. Check out the videos.

Hunstanton Kite Festival http://www.hunstanton-rotary.org.uk/page9.html classic cars and bike there too. Sunny Hunny is a very popular destination for bikers.

Wheels next the sea http://www.wheelsnextthesea.com/ at wells next the sea.

Sherringham Classic Car & Bike show http://www.experiencesheringham.com/where-to-visit-event.php?page_id=9&eventcat_id=&event_id=637

Copdock http://www.experiencesheringham.com/where-to-visit-event.php?page_id=9&eventcat_id=&event_id=637 further afield in suffolk....shhhhhh. :p

Local shows are a good way of promotion - however we would have to rely on local peeps organising them.

Anything on the horizon for DTT events during 2016?

Classic TT would be a good place to do something if there's enough people on here that would be going?

I'm banking on literally doing at least the ton on my 'cafe' over there and what a place to do it. An official 'ton-up TT sticker' perhaps for everyone on a group ride out?

I don't mind help organise if you think it would be good BC? I'm going over in my truck again, so can carry any stuff over.

Manx Grand Prix or shall we call it the 'Classic TT' is from Saturday 20th August and racing commences on 27, 29, 31 Aug and 2 Sept.

I'll be there from the 20th, pitched in the paddocks with my truck supporting the same guy racing as I did in 2015, with also my dad and my son. Will have an assortment of spanners and hammers I can lend, in case anyone's home brew thrasher needs attention. (Even whitworth spanners and a pair of gnarly adjustables)

Plan is to take my Wessie on the VMCC parade - my dad will probably take it round on that, but there's plenty of afternoon opportunities for a meet up next to the grandstand area and have a sensible ride around.

Best dates for me are from the 20th to the 27th, but I may stop for the full two weeks if I can get my card stamped by the Mrs.

I might start a separate thread for anyone to say they can get, but the Classic TT bringing international visitors, we could make a broader invitation. So far Miffa, it's me and thee

Go for it Mark ..... we'll be in Germany on those dates, but I'll co-ordinate and liaise with you and your plans. Don't forget we also have a DTT / UK banner promotion if you want to take that with you.

Also other DTT / UK merchandise - sew-ons, decals etc.

Guessing you're fairly familiar with Stoneleigh.....so wondering if this might be a good venue?
