First cousin Sgt. Seth Jacobs with his nieces and nephew. This kid was a walking disaster before joining the service. Whole new man now. Served in Afghanistan.
Not in uniform but my Great uncles Stanley(left) and Larry Reiter. Stanley served in the Army and Larry served in the Navy on a carrier along with my other great uncle Irv Reiter.
My Father in the Brooklyn Naval Hospital at the end of WWII. His leg was crushed in an incident at sea and he fell nearly 50 feet into the ocean. He was lucky, several others were killed.

To my Uncle Harold [ 6th Para ] - joined up underage at 16 - fought in North Africa and Italy before they found he was underage - sent back to the UK in time to retrained and to be dropped into Normandy at Pegasus Bridge on D Day.
Taken from our family aged just 18 in the liberation of Putot-en-Auge at Hill 13.

After 20 years of investigation - here is the actual spot [ the Apple tree in the background] on the brow of Hill 13 where Harold was killed manning his Bren Gun.

106th Airborne Transportation Battallion.
The 106th Transportation Battalion deployed to Kuwait on 19 January 2003 and redeployed on 12 July 2003. Its mission was to provide theater transportation support to US and Coalition Forces during Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. During the Operations the Battalion provided command and control for 10 transportation units.
