Alright guys I'm working on stripping down the frame for paint on my cl350 k4. I wanting to run a kick-only no accessory bike. Just what's needed to kick it over an run. No lights or anything because it's mainly going to be just a trail bike for now. I've heard of people using battery eliminators to run the points. And I've seen people using electronic ignitions. They cost about the same as far as I know and I was just wondering what some of you experts out there would reccomend for a strictly kick-and-run bike. Thanks for any feedback.

Since you said, "No lights or anything because it's mainly going to be just a trail bike for now."

I would recommend to keep the battery. It's a better option if you install lights and turn signals for street use in the future. You can replace the heavy, lead acid battery with an AGM. They are pretty light, if weight is a concern.
