Turn signal and Brake lights not working

Hey guys, been working on a rebuild of a '81 suzuki gn400 (you've probably seen it in the project section)

Its been going great, until yesterday.

I got the turn signals wired correctly, but the brake lights werent activating when I applied the brakes. I finally got the rear brake switch working, then got the front switch kinda working, then something happened and everything went out. Bike still starts and rides fine, headlight, neutral and gear indicators working fine. Taillight is on but wont brake, and the horn is out too.

Its an old 6volt system so the only fuse I can see is connected to the battery positive line (shouldnt neglect to say that I swapped the stock battery out with a smaller sealed one).
The turn signal relay is relatively new (less than a year old), and so is the little rectifier.

Usually the mag will power the electrical without a battery, but the same issue still arises, which eliminates a bad battery cell screwing something up...

I have a service manual and followed the wiring schematic as best I could :)

What am I missing? I'm sure you guys have seen issues like this before?

Thanks in advance....
