How you doin
Some of you may know me from being a Interweb whore, Im a brit living in Canada, and I like to roam the internet checking out Motorcycle forums from arround the globe, Ive lived this side of the pond for 11 years,
Heres what I ride,
1998 SRAD GSXR 750
all plastic removed,
2002 Gsxr 1000 motor installed, using GSXR 1000 wiring, clocks, titanium exhaust headers, all engine mounts difternt. had to fabed with my own hands using a band saw, some 3/8 aluminium plate, and a file.
all Engine cases removed of black powder coat, and cleaned to brushed Aluminium
350 chev transmission cooler used as Oil cooler mounted on forks, Home made oil lines using earls hosing and fittings.
Tank, for SRAD had to be retro fitted with the 1000 gas pump. the stainless steel mounting ring from the bent 1000 GAS tank and tig welded in to the SRAD tank, they were majorly difernt in size and shape.
I then removed all the paint fron the tank and emeryclothed the tank in one direction.
All the anodising was removed from the gas cap and treated to the same emery clothing
the Yoshimura TRS bolt on was shortend to 300 mm
the original sub frame was tossed out, and I used 3/8 plate and made a new subframe and tig wellded the frame rails together using 1/2 inch round aluminium rod, and drilled various size holes with a hole saw.
the rear of the Sub frame is held together with a 6 inch peice of 2x6 aluminium tube and allso contains the rear lights from a 2002 R1 with intergrated signals,
All brushed again with the Emery cloth one way.
I allso had to do the ECU mod to get rid of the error on the FI light,
CUt the brown and blck wire. basicly cause I disconected the Exhaust power valve.
the rear tail fin, is a aluminium part from a Ducati Monster, I allso Utilised the same part to make the front nose fairing, The front fender is allso a after market aluminium Ducati part.
the clocks, oil cooler and nose fairing are all held to the front forks using the stock clipons with Bars cut off, and a 6 inch peice of 2x2 aluminium angle.
The top Tripple tree was drilled and I used a set of Yamaha risers from a Virago.
all standard cable lengths but I used earls Stainless Steel Brake lines on the front.
I finished the bike using decals laser cut from Carbon Fibre looking Myla.
I hand cut some Carbon Fibre Heal Gaurds,
the rear exhaust hanger was made from the RENTHAL aluminium Crossbar.
I think thats it
The gearing was changed from the 750 to the 1000 spec.
