Speaking of not easy... I finally got some more detailed pics of what we're up against.

Yeah... I'll have to bug him.

Looks like I'll need some bars and a side cover. Non-visible stuff (like the electrics) will get upgraded, but trying to keep everything else original, if possible.

Yep, looks great.

One part at a time, once you get it all apart and start working each part it will not be as it seems now.

Left engine case / sprocket cover has a pretty good chunk taken out of it. Hopefully that's all it is.

lol... just restarted after about a year off.

Brad saved my ass with some parts and I've also collected a few other pieces. I still need badges and maybe some controls.

Did you ever track down a side cover?

Yup. Only took about a year. :p

Seriously contemplating having some reproductions made. I can't be the only guy after one of these.

Going to have to start watching all the T500 builds with my KZ nearing complete and the MT almost done, my T500 is next on the list.

Spot the difference?

The lip on the air boot surface?

The right carb looks like the 32mm off my 74, the one on the left looks like an original 34mm.

Yup. Carbs are mismatched. One is the original from a '68 and the other is from a later year. *sigh*
