the w2 kawasaki engine in the slim line was sidelined as i need to build/buy a frame jig to widen the frame so i decided to slip in one of the two pre unit triumph engines.....

after making up templates and a dozen on/offs i have the 1/4" aluminum plates almost done..

upper fork covers without headlight ears.....since i am going to make a half round tube set up like i did for the blue ducati

Friction type steering damper assembly.
aluminum knob made from two sections then pressed together,then threaded 3/8x24. lower nut had two slots milled to fit into lower triple clamp which was welded and machined for it to slide in and out, also threaded 3/8x24.friction disc cut from micarta sheet. upper/lower pressure plates, one made from 2024 t3 aluminum and the lower steel.

tools made for dies for the tube type headlight mount assembly. i still need to fabricate several other parts for the mount.

aluminum chain guard...still covered with clear vinyl to protect finish.

Milled both Suzuki 4ls backing plates for mounting between the Norton forks.
now to do the fork lugs .
 
Awesome contrast between the fresh-fabbed stuff and the clapped-out original parts. Can't wait to see the finished product.
 
x...clapped out parts will go once i tear bike down for final weld powder coat etc..a lot of rusty parts on this one!

removing rust from rear axle parts...first the sanding cloth then the tooling bit to remove the pitting.

going to install this later style crankshaft . removing the sluge trap using a tap(modified end so vise grips will not slip off) and slide hammer. main journals,rod journals and finish all good and in limits.

drilled and tapped 3/48, s/s screws installed, brazed in upper scoop screen. now time to strip paint and braze on upper scoop before powdercoating all...
