I think that's cause they're sluggish compared to the 350 twins.

Ya hit it right on the shnozzer...
From 1969-1974 the cb350 was Honda's highest volume selling bike. Honda sold over 600,000+ units globally between those years. Honda has never sold another bike model that volume range...

69-74?? Didn't the CB360 debut in 74? ( My first bike a 360 & I always thot it was a 74)

You are correct, the production years for the CB350 were 1968-1973.
