Xs750 896cc engine rebuild and chop!

Got the edges folded in.. gave up and used heat!

A few more minutes of hammering out the contours to the frame, then some finishing.
After that some more hangover-friendly work: fitting the foam and gel!
Gonna start working on the tunnel for tha bronze tank this afternoon, stay tuned for more pics..
 
Started with the tank tunnel.. if anyone wants to tig-weld bronze, Castotig 280 is a perfect filler..




 
Almost ready to put foam on the saddle.. going up to my parents over x-mas, mom happens to be a tailor, so i will be getting some help with tuck'n'rolling the seat!
 
Put in the major parts order yesterday and today, stuff for the engine is shipping from the us, much thanks to focusinprogress here, a real lifesaver!
And a guy from yamaha-triples.org forum graciously donated a set of 850 cylinders.
How the hell did people build bikes before the internet??
And i started glueing foam to the seat today:
 
Got some small but good stuff in the mail today, things you need to get an old corpse moving (and stopping).
Newtronics ignition, some brake cylinders and seals..
Clutch spring bolts and gasket kit. More to come!
