Nimbus collection

Grahamworks

Been Around the Block
I was visiting a friend of a family member for the purpose of riding around in some military vehicles they have on their property. In one of the barns I came across this collection of Nimbuses (Nimbii? LOL) I had never seen one in person, so it was pretty cool. I'll post some pics from my phone unfortunately I did not have my good camera with me (grrr).

This one started right up. This one was apparently built up from various parts. Many of the others are original with matching numbers. There were six total.

That is awesome! thanks for sharing! I'd probably never have seen one if you didn't post it up .....the Motors are something else!!!

I've recently resolved to own a Nimbus one day, hopefully sooner than later. I think I need a true 'vintage' bikes to go along with the '70s stuff.

I recently came across a 1951 Nimbus. Here's a couple pics and a video of the open valves at work.

Wow, that is a beauty!
It really was awesome to see, and unexpected. When he started one up and I saw the valves popping up and down my jaw just about dropped. The straight drive shaft is pretty amazing as well, those things seem bulletproof.

While we were there, we were riding around in these with the family:

This is a half track. It was awesome. We went up and down hills off road, through a stream. My kids had a blast.

This next one is called a Bren Carrier? I think I have that right. This particular one was Canadian, and has a Ford engine. It hauled ass, it really was like a small tank without the top and turret.

That's what we came for, the Nimbus collection in the barn was a surprise. It was a fun day.

Too bad it's in Denmark... Any DTT members out in that neck of the woods?
