also, the size of the fuel petcock. or does the size even matter as long as it matches the carb/petcock size?

It's either 5/16" or 1/4" ID. Leaning towards 5/16", but I can't remember. If you got one of the parts loose, just take it down to the local auto parts store and tell them you need some fuel line that matches the barb on the part.

Yep. Just take the carb to the parts store, slap it on the counter and tell them you need some fuel line to fit it.
