I have a 86 xv700 with a KJS single carb conversion with jardine exhaust. I am building a cafe out of this bike and want to build a 2:1 exhaust free flow or not exhaust, haven't decided yet. Well a few months back I had some problems with the bike, so I took it to the shop. They adjusted the carb, it was all out of wack, but they set it to make do cause they didn't understand why one would go from two carbs to one. Also forgive my ignorance on carbs but I assume they set it up as a cruiser. I want performance... 2:1 exhaust, free flow or not + tweaked carb with jets or not? Any ideas folks, I very ignorant when it comes to carbs, and I wouldn't say I'm afraid to mess with them. I just know working on carbs, well there is an art to it. Thanks
