Nice work on the gel restoration. I've spent my fair share of sanding hours on my boat. It'll be worth it in the end

Thanks guys. Im really happy with how it came out. The picture doesn't even do it justice. The boat is going to look so good once we're done with the other side and the top. :) I only hope it.cab turn out as well as yours!!

I think this is the first time this boat has gotten this kind of love in 25 years. Amazing how much scaling, dirt, and grime can build up in 20 years.

Found some cool history to the boat yesterday. The picture below is the bottom of the dash. Shows name of installer and install date. I thought it was kinda cool. My brother also designed a custom dash panel in Solidworks yesterday. He should be machining it today. :)

Love it! Great job on the gel coat. What compound did you use to polish? I'm going to do mine this weekend for the annual "pick me up". Also, love the rope on the rub rails that the old Nautis have.

Here's a quick shot of ours when we picked it up.

Used the 3M products noted here, http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=15595&title=which-3m-product. Its a 3 stage compound that we used after wetsanding the whole boat with 800 grit.

My brother hit the water jet yesterday. Custom aluminum dash bezel. Moving the stereo from the glove box area to.the dash. Its going to get anodized black and then custom engraved with something to the effect of "Custom engineered by Hansen Industries" :)

So.....its been awhile since I updated this thread. As life goes, i've gotten busy with other priorities. My wife and I had our second child 2 months ago now and i've been in Albuquerque for work so I haven't had alot of time to update everyone on the progress.

Honestly, this has gone from a project between brothers to a boat that has been built by one brother while the other has been off doing other things. I have got to hand it to my brother though. He has been working his butt off for months trying to get the thing done for family vacation next week. I'm happy to report that she was lake tested last Saturday! She ran great and only have a few small things to button up before the trip to Lake Havasu next week. :) There are still some things that need to be finished but they can wait until after the vacation. I am so pumped to ride behind this thing and see how far it has come.

I have alot of pictures that need to be posted so I'll try to get to that soon. In the mean time, here is one of her during the lake test on Saturday.

Ha ha I thought it was something to that effect, Quinn is my cousin. I saw the barefooting pic pop up on her facebook page and thought the boat looked familiar. What a small world it is!
