Here is a site that shows you some/most of the motorcycle laws in your state. The link (which i borrowed from another forum's post) goes to Colorado, but the dropdown menu will let you choose any state.
I found something interesting in Ohio....Mufflers are REQUIRED by law. Makes me wonder what the state deems as an acceptable muffler, as nearly ever Hardly rider round here runs straight pipes....Now im rather glad i picked up that new baffle for my VH pipe. It also states accepted decibel measurments for bikes.
I also read in article in one of the various motorcycle mags i get that was talking about states passing laws mandating that motorcycles made after 1980 would be required to have OEM pipes on them. No aftermarkets allowed. Thats a bummer, hope that doesnt catch on, tho i think MOST of our bikes would fall behind that requirement.
