1973 XL175 Vitamin C Hell Ride

Re: 1973 XL175 Orange Soda Hell Ride

Frig, I should have just read a few more posts back. I remembered just after I posted.

That fairing ties in nicely with a bit of paint on it.

Re: 1973 XL175 Orange Soda Hell Ride

I stripped the tank and pulled the side covers. Went back to look at that Ron Wood flat tracker. Now I wonder if I should ditch the side covers...

Both....its nice to have options
Or,you could make 5 different ones and toss 3 of them

Re: 1973 XL175 Orange Soda Hell Ride

Trail riding is way fun and my next bike will have trail ride ability.

That sounds like a fantastic idea. I'll be getting a car come January that's actually capable of carrying a bike, so that would be awesome

Re: 1973 XL175 Orange Soda Hell Ride

I'd be in for that. I'm sure I can get my hands on some off-road wheels - I regret selling my Blaster :(

Re: 1973 XL175 Orange Soda Hell Ride

well maybe we should start a thread on it a kick some ideas around

maybe even camp for a weekend at somewhere like this

http://www.blueridgemotorcyclecamp.com/

and ride some trails and some parkway??

this is close to haircutter girl and mr e s place and near the wheels thru time museum and dale which is always an

awesome visit and that way some folks who dont have trial bikes can join in

http://www.wheelsthroughtime.com/

or i m sure there are even better ideas out there

and by the way as a resident old fart this time let me state when we are riding thru beautiful scenery

and we come upon a awesome water fall I WANT TO STOP AND LOOK AT IT

not drive by at 70 miles an hour while drift sliding around the corner

we can relax a bit to i hope

Re: 1973 XL175 Orange Soda Hell Ride

I went to my local Finishmaster and discovered I can have any base coat put into a spray can. So I got me some Plymouth K2 Vitamin C orange base and a 2K clear.

If somebody starts up a trail ride group, post a link up here. I'm bad at keeping up with the regional stuff

Re: 1973 XL175 Orange Soda Hell Ride

Cxman I am definitely interested in losing a few hours in wheels through time.... As for the trail riding I don't think I would be good with a motor on my cycle! Parkway and camping would be awesome... I think there is enough we could all find our fun and meet up with a few good stories of our rides.

Re: 1973 XL175 Orange Soda Hell Ride

Of course I have to live in Australia, I have not taken my XL of for a good while now and would be very keen in this.

Sounds like a hell of a lot of fun, just think of me when you stop to look at that waterfall...

Eric, where is this local Finishmaster located?

I just may do this even though I've bought a spray gun set, and paint already.

Thanks in advance bro.
