How is that hoop mounted...................?

May do the same to mine, rather than cut the frame.

Curiously waiting to see what you do with the seat.

It's bolted on with 4 bolt points. It came with a cafe seat, but I want to fab a flat seat so I can take my daughter for rides when she gets a little older. I'm going to mock up some passenger pegs to take on and off as well.

Like that.

Took off the ignition switch and lowered the clip ons, light, and speedometer. Need to fab a new bracket for the spedo, and relocate the switch.

Hard to see the difference with the close up picture. Garage is a bit tight.

I am fabricating a bracket for the speedometer. I have not fabricated much in my past, so we'll see how this works out.

I got my Vermont plate in the mail, so for now I am going to use the cafe tail that came with the bike. I have to figure out the best option to mount the plate then go through and torque all the bolts. I also have to find a 10mm/ 1.25 pitch acorn nut for the one shock. And verify that I am not missing anything else. I'm also going to go without turn signals until I can find some 6volt bulbs to fit the signal housings I have.

Going to mount it out here for now.

You can get the acorn nut from CMS http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb100-super-sport-k0-1970-usa_model407/nut10mm_94021100200s/#.VWBsiWBii1w

Thanks 45, I found a couple stop nuts at the hardware store that will work for now. Tried three different places, no one had the acorns at that pitch.

I changed out the engine oil, and changed the fork tube oil today. Got it running, but can't keep it going. Trying to figure out the carb.

The bike came with an eBay carburetor, from what I have read and watched online, the jet on the exhaust side of the carb is the fuel one. It only has this jet, and the idle jet exposed. It also has a k&n pod filter. How to I know if I need a different jet, and how do I figure out what size to buy? I've read I would need bigger than stock with the pod, I'm just not sure what size is in there to know what size to buy. Thanks in advance for your help. I don't know much about carbs, but I'm trying to learn.

What's exposed? I think we need some photographic reference. I have a feeling you're pointing to the idle mixture screw (fuel or air) and the idle speed set screw.

yes, sorry. Those are the exposed screws. I'll take a picture in a bit. I did some more research last night. The carb I have is not a Keihin or mikuni. I'll have to take it apart and check all the jets again to make sure they are fully clean, and check the numbers on them.

There are 2 fuel jets located inside the bowl. Slow jet (38) and main jet (110).

The jets in my new ebay carb arent stamped w sizes. I didnt bother measuring them.

keep it running til its good and hot. Then set idle speed adjuster as close to 1200 as possible.

Next adjust A/F mix needle. Til you achieve fastest idle. Reset idle speed back to 1200, Then (just for fun) tweak A/F again for fastest idle, reset 1200.

Go for a ride and do a plug chop at your most normal cruising speed. If plug is white (raise needle). Black(drop needle) if you cant get her just right, re-jet accordingly.

As I have just begun all this CL100 stuff. I have no idea what is available for these carbs. I would try jetsrus.com first.
