Name is Shawn. Grew up building 50's style Hot Rods, work for an Import performance shop in Kelowna B.C. Canada. Been riding for only 6 months, first go at building bikes.

my daily GS (built 6 months ago, was a bone stock bike)

Project GS i started a month ago. Rebuilt motor, got the frame sorted and starting reassembly.
How I got it, guy saw my first bike around town and was trying to "copy it"

Thanks for the welcome. A braced stock arm is being used with a resprung cbr600 shock.

Why dont you go for a 89- gs 500e swinger? Shouldn`t be a superhuge modification i`we been told.

Not a big fan of the Alu swing arm look, the square edges just dont work with what im going for. Just personal taste I guess. ???

The vintage feeling fades with that modificion.

Do you have any bracing on that swingarm (can't tell from the pic)??

If not, it's going to flex like a MF.

Hillsy - as said in the in the 3rd post it's a braced stock arm.

Big rich - tryed with stock fender and without, couldn't tell a difference at all. Sure it helps but not enough for me to keep it on.

As long as you keep it below 25mph the front should be fine.

It's a cbr600 resprung shock. Will need to get it re valved if spring rate works in the twisties.
