Post a pic of your latest purchase

I got these velocity stack filters, and while they are sort of adequate, I'm not into them at all. I'll be making something to replace them, but they'll work for now.

Thanks, I'll check that out.

The Mikuni ones pictured block the velocity stack on my carbs, which are about 58mm ID. The Mikuni filters have a minimum ID for 44mm, which in my mind seems to defeat the purpose of having velocity stacks at all. That said, they aren'y intended for my carbs at all, I just sourced ones that would fit, so I can't be too mad and I'll use them until I find or make a replacement. They will keep the stones and bugs out and that's good.

Sort of a purchase. We got another red heeler from a herding dog rescue here in Georgia. We lost our old boy Benny, also a red heeler, who died this month at 15. Poor old boy, Clyde (a Texas Heeler), was pretty depressed and alone so we just had to get him another mate to romp around the property with. We figure this young pup can't be quite a year old yet...

Alice with my oldest daughter, Stella. Bathing suits are an all day dress requirement in the summer here, apparently.

Must be "dog day." I came in here to put this up and here's Eric's post. Anyway, here's the story: Our old boy, Rudy was 13 and had been getting pretty gimpy and was failing from a dog ailment called degenerative myelopathy, a nerve disease caused by a problem in the same gene that causes ALS in humans. In January he couldn't stand up on his own any more and it was evident that his time was up.

It was difficult for us and also for our 11 year old golden doodle, Dallas.

We all pulled through pretty well and the three of us got even closer and prepared to go through more years together; a couple oldies and an extremely dedicated and light-hearted canine companion. Dallas had some mystery digestive issues and required surgery. He got through the surgery just fine and was up and about then suddenly threw a clot and just dropped dead... four months and a day after losing Rudy. Needless to say, we were devastated, thoroughly devastated. After a few weeks of "no more dogs" and then "well, maybe some day" we finally decided to casually start looking for another. We decided on some parameters: another golden doodle, a male, black, a large one, and NOT a puppy. I guess four out of five ain't bad, huh? Yup, I ended up buying a puppy.

Meet Darby, a 13 week old, 25#, black golden doodle. Fortunately, even though he's a puppy, he's really very good, very intelligent and will end up being a great companion for a couple of old folks like us.

Sorry to hear you lost one also Corey.

A little 400 four "incentive" to get the bike bench done...

I bought some fancy airbox adapters for my Mikuni Tm38s on the XV1100. Should be here by the end of the week.

Saw this on kijiji last night after a couple of beers, made it mine for $350 CAD this afternoon -

1982 CB750K. Seller was a lovely old boy, and for that price he made me buy it. I didn't really have a 1982 CB750K-shaped hole in my life, but it's certainly filled now ::)

Sold the XT350 and bought a DR370. Needs the right tank (KE on it now), but it runs great.
