I Guess We'll Going Racing Then?
« on: Feb 16, 2017, 23:13:49 »
Well Ole Herm Dog has got it in his head he's going to challenge Marquez for the crown this year! That's right, just sponsoring our AHRMA guys wasn't enough, now we're building a CB350 race bike too. She's not quite done yet, but she's coming along nicely.
We'll also be launching an AHRMA/Vintage Racing section of our website, so to all of you vintage racing guys... whatcha need? Beyond the race tires, the number plates, belly pans, the 520 conversions, and the basic track kit, what are ya after? Give us a shout, let us know what it is you're looking for and we'll go trying to track it down!

Also, we'll never forget our roots! Don't forget we offer a DTT discount to tried and true members. So if you have a 100 posts or more on DTT, just shoot us a line with your DTT screen name and we'll set your Dime City Account up with a DTT 10% discount.

Just speaking for myself, but:
1) headerpipe/exhaust DIY-kits
2) carbs or carb kits
3) universal throttles with cables fitting afforementioned carbs
4) proper EBC sinter brakepads (not just their normal range, they do have a separate vintage racing line)
5) probably brake rebuild-kits with stainless brake pistons
6) steel-braided brakehose by length and not just by model (a configurator as can be seen with some other companies would be fine)
7) transponders
8) a download-link to the ARMA Vintage rules and regulations (being in Europe this doesn't bother me much, but some classes overhere require a lanyard switch and the like...)

That'd be what I would be looking for, when building a racebike from scratch.
Real freedom starts with the freedom of thought.

That's perfect, just the kind of info we're looking for. We carry some of the mentioned items, but are always looking to expand our catalog and add new manufacturers & parts. We've always been closely tied to the old CBs & CLs, but if you're taking something else to the track and we don't seem to have what ya need, just reach out and we'll find it. will hunt down whatever you need.

I'll need to look into this Vintage Racing Line of EBC pads, that peaks my interest. And as far as the stainless lines, we have the universal "build your own" kits from Galfer & Goodridge. Galfer actually just did a re-engineer on their K7 Universal line, and we've been swapping all of our bikes over to the new setup; improved fittings and connections. It's nice!

Links to AHRMA rules & regs will surely be given, but I believe AHRMA requires you to buy the transponder direct from them (or rent it). I guess we'll know for sure come next weekend at Roebling Road Raceway!
