64 Triumph Trophy Bobber (Now FS)

I have no fucking clue what im doing with this, but it was to good a deal to pass up. The guy I bought it from bought it from the original owner. Since there isn't a title anymore for it, that record is all but lost. My original plan was to bob out an XS650 since there are parts all the fuck over for them and everyone has one to help. I ran across this 64 triumph with a bunch of the parts I would have bought for the XS already purchased. The guy had started on it, bought a bunch of stuff, then didn't want to work on it anymore and wanted to see it go to someone who would complete it. First I need to get it titled, then my plans include

Putting the motor back together, getting the magneto working, get a new carb, plumb up the oil reservoir (im thinking copper pipe, get it running. From there I'll likely take the frame all back apart and clean it up, powder coat it after whatever else I need to modify on it. First problem is I don't have any fucking British standard tools.. Time to go shopping.

Its a Factory Metal Works bolt-on hardtail 6" extension, and a DNA springer front end

Some original pics from when it was pulled from a barn

You have a handful of projects, sir.

Not nearly as many as our good sir brad... 1) Stock RD 2) Race RD 3) Triumph... I think brad is up to what like 7?

I really like that bolt on hard tail. I wonder how the suspension will be when you start driving it.

Re: WTF did I get myself into 64 Triumph Trophy Bobber

I ran the same hardtail at my 58 tr5,and with a 16" rubber with a little less air in it it quite comfy...

Motor has already been rebuilt, new seals, new bearings, new pistons, bored and honed. Just not together.

Re: WTF did I get myself into 64 Triumph Trophy Bobber

Just dropped $100 on a cheep small set of BSW wrenches and sockets.. The fun money is already starting to vanish, and everything I want for this is stupid expensive. If this thing doesn't turn out sick a fuck im going to be pissed

Ha, that's how it is with my BMW too. Everything is much more expensive.
