Yeah that Flying Merkel was beautiful. In fact I'm thinking about doing a Board Tracker style bike this year. Who knows, maybe Board Trackers will be the new Cafe Racers, hah hah haha!
 
I"ve got a 1971 Motobecane moped in bright orange. I'm going to restore it and paint:

Flying Erkel

on the side. The Flying Merkle is a beautifully restored museum piece. The white tires get wrapped in plastic wrap everytime it moves. The rubber has never seen concrete.

I like old bikes and all, but the world doesn't need any more museum pieces - ride them suckers!
