Brat/Cafe CB350F Project

Ragin6708

Been Around the Block
About two years ago I started a project on a 1973 CB350F with the intention of disassembling, restoring, and reassembling my first motorcycle. This project was to be educational and take my hobby to the next level by learning a new trade. I have finally reached a stage where I would like to share my experience as well as look for help and advice from those who know far more than me. I will be graduating college within the next two weeks. However, I hope to keep up with posting as my build comes together. Please share your thoughts, ideas, and opinions as I’d really like to hear them.

Cheers

The bike was a craigslist find. Originally, I was only interested in twin cylinders but I couldn't help but be attracted to the weirdness of this little bike. The condition of the bike was what is to be expected for a bike of its age. It has 19,XXX original miles, had many dents, scratches, rust, and would not start. However, the bike had great compression, had all of its original parts, and noting was bent, broken, or warped.

Lose the rear bar and man oh man, wish mine had been that nice. Had a 400F 4 into 1 header with a glasspack on it, flat black, gas tank looked like a golf ball shell it had so many ball peen hammer dents in it.

Clean that little monster up, get it running right, and it will surprise you... Mine would walk away from any twin it went up against except XS650s and KZ750Bs. They are not fast bikes, but they'll launch pretty well...

Your post just beat mine... I really like that version. Tasteful.
