Gs550 Scrambler

Did you uppgrade the rect/reg when switching to a Lithium battery? I know many upgrade those regardless, and especially when using Lithium batteries to avoid toasting the battery. Seems to be a bigger problem on the bigger capacity GSes though.

I’m on the fence about it doing it for my build... The popular SH775 R/R is like $130 now, and that’s still the least expensive option of the proper series style R/Rs.

Great looking bike. I really like your detailing. That number plate will could get you in a lot of trouble, most cops don't know only pre '74 (L) can be black and white, the problem is the cameras. I hope it rides as good asl it looks, enjoy

Breaks done just need bleeding .turned some spacers up for rear shocks.made a bracket for ignition.

Fantastic workmanship as usual! The little clamp with the rubber holding the brake line is neat, need to find some of those. Don’t forget the cover for the bleed nipple :) Carbs look fantastic too. Looking forward to seeing them on with the K&Ns

Looking forward to seeing your bike complete nearly as much as you are! Sorry if you've mentioned already in your thread but I'm trying to see what tires you've chosen - are they Continental Twinduro's? Love the look of them, and would be interested to hear how they fare on the road.

Yes they are continentals .I will let you know what there like .I've been told they are surprisingly good on road .

They look badass, no doubt about that. If they're decent on the asphalt then I could be looking at the next pair of shoes for my KLR =)

Well bikes finished took her for mot test today passed no problems .few little issues to sort but I'm happy

Hi been a while had a few problems with bike getting her running right .bike wouldn't rev on top end so bought a dyno jet kit made her better but still not right .So I had her on dyno found she was only making 27bhp. Dyno guy said it had more issues than just jetting .I had not done any work on engine as I thought it was running ok .How wrong was I. Head was leaking too from head gasket .valve cover gasket and the rubber cam end covers .base gasket was weeping a little. When I removed cam cover I found cam chain out buy one link .So that could explain the lack of power.so top end all apart new OME gaskets fitted timing put right .some more playing about with carbs and she's running nice now really good to ride and great fun.
