hey guys, I could use a little help, I'm more familiar with SOHC's. I got a line on a dohc cb and wana bite if it's a 79-82ish pre-nighthawk k model. problem is seller knows nothing about it and "thinks it's a 80 cb750". is there anything distinguishing about k models that differentiates them from C and F? or 750 from 900, or 79-82 from 83+?

how do you figure that?

btw do f and k tanks swap out with each other on these frames? I heard the C model doesn't accept K tanks easily.
 
Is the rear disc or drum?
Disc on the F, drum on the K.
That pic makes it look like disc.
 
man you guys are good. i found the vin, quick google search makes it look like a 1980 cb750 F model.

now i just gotta figure if a K tank fits where the F tank was. Lookin at other peoples builds it seems like it does? just the F tank is longer and needing a new mounting point or bracket fabbed up for the rear of the tank to accommodate the shorter K tank.
