I'm proud of you buddy. You're doing this bike right and she will treat you well as a result. Really enjoying watching your progress. I believe you have earned the right to wear one of these now sir!

Thanks dude. I couldnt have done it without your help. Thank you for your patience and time. Probably the biggest challenge of owning a bmw is finding one of "those". haha

I don't know about the belt, but I agree with Kiley on the rest of his points. Ha

Thanks Jussy! Maybe, I will earn it after my first successful 100 miles. ;)

Re: A rather un-remarkable BMW re-fresh.

Thought I was the only BMW guy with a big beard!

Hey, wear a 'Stitch, don't wear a 'Stitch . . . just ride safe! (Or a Spiderman suit.)

Re: A rather un-remarkable BMW re-fresh.

Got up early this morning so I got busy replacing that pesky weeping O-ring on the sending unit before leaving for work.

Dont drop the lock washers from the fuel pump connections into the tank. Ha

Nasty.

Fair amount of pitting. If it continues to weep I will have to re-visit w a light smear of metal mender.

Re: A rather un-remarkable BMW re-fresh.

Alright. What time do you go to bed?

Re: A rather un-remarkable BMW re-fresh.

IN bed at 9:30 up between 2:45 and 4:00. 7 days a week. Ever since high school.
The reason I am in charge of coffee detail at the Thaw.

That's back to front. I try to get to bed before 4:30 (am) so I can get up by 9:30.(am).... OK so that's not 100% accurate but close enough.. :)

Ha, the real trouble starts when I stay up late and still wake up "on time" I am one miserable friggen SOB.

Re: A rather un-remarkable BMW re-fresh.

Yeah, I was one miserable SOB for much of the 36 years I worked. Went to bed at 8 PM, but was always up by 1 or 2 AM because I hated my job so much. Now I'm making up for it by sleeping never less than 8 and sometimes as much as 10 hours every night.

Glad to see you're replacing the heat shield on the tank underside. It ain't there for looks . . . since K bikes recirculate fuel through the tank (good thing for keeping it cool in the rail), that tank becomes pretty warm on a hot day after a long ride, even with the heat shield in place.

Re: A rather un-remarkable BMW re-fresh.

Sucks to hear that about your career cookiemech. Glad your getting along better now.
I enjoy my job well enough. I just wake up early, feeling like a million bucks. No matter what I do.
I dont get to work til 8am. So I get a few "feeling good" hours every morning to get the fun stuff done. :D
