BUILT NOT BOUGHT!
Saturday, February 6, 2010 I visited the Barber Motorsports Park Vintage Motorcycle Museum. It was HEAVEN! If you have never been, put it on your bucket list. I decided to give you all a taste of what you’re missing. This in not even half of the bikes in the museum but I think you will get an eye full anyway. I took every one of these! Enjoy!

Mike, I had you in mind when I snapped all those shots of the board trackers!

So that's what heaven looks like..... why did you ever leave?

This is no joke, the security made me leave! I was there for almost 3 hours and wanted to stay longer but they were closing! Security approached me a couple of time to inform me of how long I had left until close, then finally he came and told me I had to go. :(

Awesome man. thank you for posting this. I did not intend to set here for 20 minutes but it made my morning. Thank you!

That's awesome. Did you ask them if they had their own cell in the museum? That would have made it worth it. Thanks again for posting this. And I'm glad there's no Jaguars or Bulls in the photos.

yeah... Thanks for posting this one up!!.. which bike did you like best?

Are you serious, how can one choose? I don't really know my fav, but I will say that the small CC bikes just blew my mind! Some of them were so small with tires like 1/2 an inch wide and top speeds of almost 150mph! I liked them all! The Militor with the scaled down tractor motor, floor shifter, and very unique suspension got a lot of my attention!

Rat, when I saw that "tree" of bikes, I said that's what I want my Christmas tree to look like!

A pics for you guys to look for in all of them:
My self portrait in the reflection of a highly polished triumph front hub!

I went by myself so I would have no distractions and could browse for as long as I wanted, which turned out to be as long as they would let me!

Thank you for showing me what's to come

I have my ticket I am going this october to see the collection during the show weekend

Whoa. Dude. Dear, dear me...

Awesome thread man, and cheers for taking the effort to post up all those photos! Couple of favourites include the early red-tanked Moto Morini, the black BMW outfit and the mighty 50cc Kreidler Vanveen! Can't believe they had one of those! They took the 50cc speed record back in the day by pushing out something like 18hp @ 22,000rpm. Really hot stuff...

...and I'm rambling again :D

Thanks again for sharing - boingk

You ass!

You do realize that Barber's is one exit away from where I live. You were literally 5 minutes from my house. 5 minutes from Gretta, the Buell, the bobber project, all of the Bushmills you could drink, many high grav beers, and most importantly my company!

You coulda hit a brotha up!!!!!

Seriously though, it is a very cool place. I love it there.

But also seriously, next time you're coming down, let me know. I could quite literally walk to that place!!! :'(

Sorry Kiley, I did mention in Gretta's thread that I would be in the ham, you never responded you ass! ;) The Barber thing was in the plans only if I could make it! I was in town for some of our wedding stuff and did not know if I had time for it or not. Turns out Amy wanted to shop (which I knew would be forever, which was also how long I wanted to stay at Barber) so I went to the museum! I will be sure to get up with you next time I am coming that way though, and I will be glad to go back!

LoL!

I'm just giving you a hard time Brandon.....OR AM I!!!!

More bushmills for me!

But yeah, there's this funny little PM button over by our avatars...it sends messages to E-mail. Seems like it would be a good way to let people know what was up....I dunno though man that is a very obscure concept.......ASS! :p :p :p

Just kidding bro. Glad you got to see it, it is a freakin amazing place!!!....but for the record, if I don't hook up with you and Deviant this year at the vintage fest, I'm personally gonna come drink all of your whiskey at your house and then steal your motorcycles.

You don't have to steal the whisky, your welcome to it! As long as we are drinking together! ;) But the bike, we might have a problem then! ;D

LOL

Deal.

Very cool pics TW, that must have been a blast seeing them all in the one place. I love those statues that are outside, really nice and fitting for the place (the guy in front must have been on a KZ ;D).

Also, love that display of bikes on the banked surface.

Thanks for posting.

One thing I was wondering though, how long it took you to create that post...adding all those image tags
