Hey all. I've been lurking for a little while, but finally got my hands on the bike I was looking for. I got it for $200 while I was on leave from Iraq. It's a little gross now, bit it'll get all of the attention it deserves when I get home for good in a few months. It's been off the road since 1991 due to health problems of the original owner and only has 18K miles on the odometer. Trust me, the moss-covered fairing and bags will be promptly removed (I may even cut one of the bags to use as a seat cowl -- there are some good lines on there). Anyway, as all I can do right now is buy parts once in awhile it'll just have to sit there for a bit.

Welcome to DTT! Great bike - much love for the GS's. And good idea for using the bags for a seat cowl.

Don't hesitate to ask plenty of questions and come home safe!

Deja vu. Reminds me of the Vetter fairing on mine when I got it.

Check out the gsresources forum sometime if you need tech help. Just don`t let anybody there know you`re not running stock, OEM. They get uppity about it for some reason :p

Oh, and every time you touch those VM26 carbs the bike WILL run worse.
