XS500 valve adjustments

Been Around the Block
Ok so i finally finish my 1978 XS500E top end rebuild, and was adjusting valves last night, the manual does not state what the piston position should be, i adjust them in the V mark at the advancer plate, at that postion all valves are closed, Thats the postion it says to put the crank while the dots on the cams are aligned with the marks up top.

So do i need to do TDC for each piston and adjust the corresponding valves or is it ok at the V mark?

Thanks!

Theres only one V in between i think it was TL and TR and 2 lines next to each

Ill snap some pictures as soon as i get home, also when i did my cam chain, i align it with the V and the dots, but when i released the tensioner it missaligne by 1 or 2mm, is this a normal thing? I spun the engine by hand a few time and dint heard a valve hitting the piston or anything

As soon as I posted that I knew I screwed up. One v mark and check both sets of valves in that position only! Final answer!

So i did it right then? Adjust valves at V mark?
