Every year, the first weekend in June, in Wellington Ohio, a bunch of guys that like to race Small Motorcycles get together for a 650 mile, non stop run around Lake Erie! This is a 3 day event, withe the race beginning at 6am on Saturday morning, and awards and prices given Sunday.

The Event is open to ANY motorcycle, But the "Race" is only for small bikes. We have basically four RACE classes:

2. 125's - up to 125cc and vintage bikes up to 160cc.

3. 200's - up to 200cc, any Cushman style scooter with a stock based motor (no Cushman hybrids) and vintage bikes up to 225cc.

I did a solo trip around Lake Erie on an XR250... sore ass not withstanding, it was a lot of fun! Coming through detroit into the USA was not much fun though, took about 2 hours for them to take my bike and bags almost completely apart while searching them, plus the "interview" by customs... papers please?? lol.

I skipped all major highways and saw a lot of scenery. Rode along or near the lake whenever possible. I suggest the trip to anyone! Plus if you get tired along the way you can cheat and take the ferry across the lake to Sandusky lol.
