I've held on to this for a while now. I'm sure that as soon as I sell it I'll find a '71 that needs a seat ... :
This seat fits the early 1971 CB500 with the hook style seat latch. Later bikes used a plunger style and the seat pan itself is different.
I believe this to be an original Honda cover in above average condition with one minor repair. It looks like someone used one of those heated repair kits. Original HONDA logo is still there, though slighty faded. Chrome trim strip is in good shape with just a couple of wear areas. Pan itself is excellent. Missing one bolt that holds the latch to the pan. Don't know how that happened, but it's just a 10 mm bolt. Foam is in great shape; soft and supple with no dry rot dust falling through the holes in the pan.
This is a rare seat, especially in this original condition. Asking $150 clear to me, plus shipping. I'd have to box it up and get a quote on shipping since it's a larger item. You cover PayPal fees or send as a gift.
