Who dat in tha dirty? (our roll call)

Re: Who dat in tha dirty?

A really good friend of mine is the singer for the house band at cat's meow. I've never been down there though.

her band is called the little big horns.

Re: Who dat in tha dirty?

Ah, I'm very familiar with all those places. I live in NOLA and work in B.R.

When in the Quarter I'm usually in/around the BBC or Razzoo's. I'm good friends with one of the managers and get to beat the cover ;D

Funny story, my mom got us kick out of the cat's meow! Doing kareoke! Its too embarasing for me to tell you how! My mom for gods sake! Irish people really get out of hand when drinking mass quantities!
Okay... I know Brandon's mom pretty well so I can hazard a guess as to how this went down.
but first I'll need a hint. Twisted... Was there nudity involved? If not that, then she probably showed them how well our Alabama women can use dirty words. ;D

Come on man! My Mom has a little more class than that! Not much more, but more than that! We were all a "little" drunk, imagine that! When this hot little blond kinda rubbed Mom the wrong way when she butted in front of her at the bar and then said something to her friend about "old" people at the bar. Well, you know that ticked Mom off, but she is not the type to start shit so.....Later that little blond got on stage and sang Darling Nikki (Prince) and did a sexy little dance with it and all the dudes in the bar were drueling. So Mom decided to show that little blonde she was not to old to "rock" so.....She got on stage and started singing.....ummmmm....well.....Like a Virgin (Madona). I walked out, beause that was my mom, and I did not need to see that! But it was only a few minutes before she joined me on the street escorted out by a nice bouncer who explained it was a very nice performance but unfortunatly you can't do that legaly! My step Dad promptly exited with my GF of that time and we went to Pat O'Brians!

Name: Russell Rutledge
Location: Norman, Ok.
Occupation: Kaizen Specialist
Age: 35

Bike: 1970 Triumph T100R "Daytona"
It's probably the only bike I'll ever need. I've had it for over 10 years and can't see ever getting rid of it. I am, however, looking for my next project. I would like a CB750 or XS650 from the mid to late seventies. Something on the cheap that needs a ton of work.

General: Other hobbies include Fly Fishing, Backpacking, Mountain Biking, Cyclocross, the Saxophone and single malt Scotch. Highland Park 18yr. is my favorite.

Hello from North Georgia!

As I stated in the new memeber introduction forum, I hope I can contribute in a manner that may be helpfull to someone. My background is in paint and finishing, but I dabble in fabrication.

Here is an in process photo of my bike. It has been in process for a while now and sometimes I wonder if it will ever be finished.

My current project is the seat and tail section. I have cut the back off of an RE5 tank and made bracketry to mount it to the frame. Then made a frame for the seat pan and covered it with sheet metal.

Next, the wheels have got to go and are for sale if anyone is interested. I will be replacing them with wheels that have less flash. The paint job I have planned will be flashy enough without them.

What's happenin' Travis!

Re: Who dat in tha dirty?

^^^Looks great man. I love the lines of the tank and the geometry of the tail. That seat pan is awesome too. Got a link to a build thread?

Thanks. I love that tank too. It's longer and narrower than the stock tank.

Yes I do. Click on the Vintage Fighters in my signature, and it will take you there.

lauren lovely is my first name. i also have 2 middle names, one of which has 2 pronunciations.. they're usually butchered. i guess my general interests make me seem like a really confused person :p

Re: Who dat in tha dirty?

8) Can't be real as in, too good to be true! ;)
My Mom's first name is in Cherokee...talk about getting butchered ::)

Re: Who dat in tha dirty?

Mine's real. My parents had a thing about R's. My siblings are double R's also.
My grandfather was Cherokee. I was named after him, Russell Bluejacket.

Re: Who dat in tha dirty?

Hi all, might as well jump into the frying pan, since this thread's been going for a while. Better late than never, right?

My name is Chris Gilliland, originally from sunny (but gawd-awful expensive) Hawaii. My wife, three girls, and I moved to Nashville in late '07 and now live in Spring Hill, TN. Used to work at Maui Harley-Davidson/Kawasaki/Vespa/Audi/Aprilia/KTM/Moto Guzzi (yeah, that's a mouthful...) as Service Advisor until we moved. Got out of the moto industry for a bit, landed another service job and got laid off a week before Christmas '08. Currently working out of the house with some freelance writing gigs.

Got a nearly-operational '06 CBR1000RR parked next to the nearly-dysfunctional '76 KZ750, hopefully both will be road worthy in the following months.

Yup. That's me. ;D

Easy fix, sell the '06 for the coin to give the KZ the love it deserves!

Welcome aboard the good ship Dirty South.
