I don't even try! I just tow it to the ramp and launch it for the season. Its not a big fan of trying to stop everything. Beleive it or not everything is within the weight range for of trucks tow package. The truck is rated at 8800lb max and the boat and trailer weigh 8100. I have to use 4 wheel low to get up the ramp when hauling out, and say I know I can, I know I can.
I know there is a VW thread here as well, and I'm a pretty hard core dubber as well.
Here is a shot of my '81 VW Caddy I restored a few years ago.
Its got a 2.0L ABA block with a 16V head, standalone inj, T3-T04E turbo and whole list of other goodies.
Been trying to track hardluck down....I need to know the make and model/size of those supreme rims on the econoline. I got a 61 and having trouble fiding the rims size that fit... PLEASE get back to me...thanks buddy
I was wondering if any has ever made a honda emblem with the ducati looking writing, that or you did it like dodge. Still its something I want todo on a future build
my soon to be daily driver. 63 c10 with factory floor shift 4 speed, 283 long bed. just need a couple weekends to get the new running gear and power steering installed. for now its nestled in the garage alongside the 74 shovel and the 68 cb 350.
I constantly thrashed the hell out of this F-450 and it didn't bat an eye. Great [little] truck.
Brand new "buggy" on the right broke down, had to be saved by the old buggy on left. It simply shut off while I was cruising through town. If it had done that on the highway, without power anything, I know I would have wrecked bad. Diesel particulate filter gave us hell all summer. Love new technology :
I am VERY close to picking this "truck" up. Its a 1972 Fargo Power Wagon.
If I get it, It will mean the end of my 97 V6 Mustang and getting a rest of the frame off rebuild. completed with a 76 grill, my 8' Step side box and a few other off road/ expedition goodies.
This is the day I picked up my truck. Rode my bike 300 miles deep into the heart of Alabama to claim this beauty, tossed it up in the back, and drove it home. Its a 1992 GMC Sierra 1500 Longbed with the 5spd and 4.3L engine, 140,000 miles to date and many more to go. It has been the best truck I have ever owned, I dig the modest lift, deep throaty exhaust tone, decent mileage, and above all unflinching reliability.
This truck is used primarily for my side job of restoring classic Japanese motorcycles. It has probably transported over 50 bikes since I've had it, with the tailgate scars to prove it.
put the 2.5" lift on the front and got the 235/85's (32")
its odd cause its fairly big but doesnt look it... very factory tough.. without being overly big that people know i only have 3" between my theighs.
have 10 1/2" at the rear diff and 21" from the ground to the bottom of the cab
