Can't do the ride but will be floating on a boat off the Royal 8)
Ps bike needs attention anyways ,
extra airflow now to the chinese mukini carbie,
with removal of airbox, running with a pod till I get the V stack sorted
suprised of the impact, really lost power???
need to tinker ??
hitting the google button! time poor also :-[ (cant play with a bike on a boat)
any advice is welcome !!
hope to hit the garage next week!

This Saturday. I'm thinking of poking my head in. Free to spectate apparently. Just looking to put some names to faces.

Think I may head down about 10am. Trying to get an idea now of where to park up and view it all from.

Sounds like a plan. Not staying long as I have something on that day, but would be good to put a name to a face.

I am a mid 30's Englishman in a Holden Sportswagon with a shaved head.

9.40am the first session of the cafe racers whizzing around. Will aim to be there for then. Still no ideas where to park etc.

Edit: seems like gate A is the place to go. Think it heads down to the main block on the straight with a small car park.

Hopefully means spotting the oldskool bikes is a little easier.

Is it you or the Holden that has the shaved head?

Crazy

Both. Hopefully picking up my brand new SSV today :)

Will also bring a small person with me. Hope to meet up.

Crazy I'm heading up around 11am now as missus had something to do this morning. Maybe see you there. SCR are riding in that session too 11-11.20

Sorry to have missed you crazy. Next time. Hopefully I can pull my finger out on the build and join you for a ride.

Looking forward to seeing the finished bike!

An impressive build, and your thread is one of the most detailed expositions on the bike building process to feature on DTT.

not the direction to go!

Crazy

Hey Crazy,
pulled the whole carby apart, working out what, went, where!
After sum frustating turning of airmix screws back an forth,
1/2 a turn first , a 1/4 next then an 1/8 still not smoothing it out
and motor feeling gutless.
The learning curve was bottoming out!
I think I was already running lean before exhaust upgrade
and now with airbox, it went over the edge
so I did some reading on mikuni carbs last night,
seems the needle does the most adjusting on these Mikuni's
in mid range
Simply ??? raised the needle jet by lowering the clip 2 notches !
to give me a richer mix
There is a choice of 5 positions on mine.
I dropped it 1 below centre, wow that worked
All good , wondering if I should try going all the way
and max the needle out?

Cheers ACEitup

Have you seen this?

I don't know how applicable it is for your carby, but it might be a help.
