BEACHCOMBER NEEDS HELP

Hi Guys,

I'll just throw it right out. I need some odd bits of welding [ mostly alloy ] and machining doing over the next 3 months or so to advance my projects.

My problem is [ apart from lack of skills / facilities ::)] that all my old business contacts are either dead or retired !

I'm quite happy to pay, but mate's rates would be nice. It's almost impossible to find local workshops who are prepared to take on a small job, and those that do have got me over a barrel price wise.

Parts are small enough to post to save anybody travelling.

Thanx in advance.

This company has done a load of jobs for me over the years. If you don't get any other offers, might be worth a call next week.

Thanx for the headsup - their work looks excellent.

No rush, I'll see if I get any other responses.

depends what you need. I can get all sorts of stuff made from all sorts of stuff using all sorts of techniques and machinery. Getting stuff welded on and together is probably better done nearer to home but if you need any bits making then an accurate drawing and some money in the tea fund might just see you right.

I'm based in Hull but have contacts up and down the country. I'm just having some rear set plates laser cut in stainless. I'll post up a pic when they're done.

I can put you in touch with someone, but he's out in the weird wet wasteland that is the fens.

Forgot about MCS, they do excellent work, built my mate's alloy tank and braced his frame, not far from me, probably get them to repair and modify my Z1100R tank.
