Like the title says, it is a thread about a power cruiser resto mod, if you like that style follow along, if not, move to the next thread.

So my boss noticed I build bikes, he asked if I could do one for him. Not having cash for my own build this winter I said for sure. The plan is to tear it down enough to paint the tins a factory Honda Yellow the bike came in a previous model year, add minor mods and touches here and there, full service and tune up of anything it needs to bring it back to showroom or better condition. He had a few ideas and model bikes, magan was one and I found this one for a great deal in Maine. Went and got it last weekend. 8787.8 original miles, bike sat for 3-4 years of it's life drained of fluids in a PO living room, then it was owned by a retired police officer that had more bikes then days to ride and eventually landed with the guy I bought it from who rode it one season only to get a new girlfriend who hates bikes.........meaning he rode it less and less and less until now it is ours.

Day we picked it up

I've got a 2000 Magna. I've had it for years and the only issue has been a bad voltage regulator. It's an absolute blast to ride (although sometimes I wish it had a sixth gear.) You're going to wish you owned that bike!

That bike needs some serious updates/modifications to make it into more of a hard core Road Sled ir Hot Rod/Rocket Sled combo.

Corbin gunfighter seat might work too.

If it were mine and I had some cash yes, however, the owner is a veteran rider but will be all he needs stock. He is used to a Harley Road king and shadow 750, the harley has torque but this thing will move, I have riden one and it's the only cruiser I have ridden that I would like to own someday. They kind of took the first gen Magna and Saber and merged them. took the broke back frame and forward controls and moved them to mid and lowered the bars, kept the look of a cruiser but it is almost a standard riding position. As for the corbin gunfighter, agree 100% it looks great on this bike and it may be in the budget if we sell the big fat mustang touring seat that came with the bike

Got some actual work done. Tested the blacked jug polished fin. I like it.

Takes a bit o work to get this look. A few minutes on the belt sander and the some quality time with masking take and a razor blade. Then a propane heater and rattle cans ending in a toaster oven I. The garage.

Moving g forwards. Front wheel off bearings out finally. Ready for gloss black powder. Need to pull rear next. Tires are friggin new but new owner wanted new ones so thus set will be for sale. Too bad they won't fit any of my bikes. All it took was the right kind of expanding bolt and I was able to get the bearings out. Too bad they were like new. This whole bike is new. Just dusty. Going to be showroom with upgrades when done. The front pads have less than 1 mm wear.

From what I read this thing will too, but will be a lot prettier ;D I can't wait to do the shakedown run before I turn it over to the new owner.

Moving right along both wheels off, cleaned and ready for powder. Just need to get the springs off and it will be powder time. Local shop is doing it all for 200. Need to pull forks for lowers to be painted and to install gators. This thing should be nice. Got the alloy to make the new tail light mount as soon as it arrives I'll post up pics.

OK.so picked up some parts and supplies. Did a test paint and it was looking great until it fell off the support I was using and landed paint side down. Fuck. Got to start over but also need a fan system. Even though I was in the garage it smelled up the house.
