81' Honda CX500 - first build second life

Hello for all.

I'm a 25 year old fan of vintage cars and motorcycles.I'm living in center of europe.
I was searching for base for first project,and i've decided to buy old jap dog - cx500.I will try ,with a few simple tools and a lot of determination, create something unique.

Bike:
Honda CX500 81' euro spec
Plan:
Take care for engine , weld new rear part of frame, repaint and give new shape.

What do u think?

That is where mine is, just make sure you paint that steel well and provide some drain holes.

It isnt finished jet, it's going to be drain and powdercoated.

its for a bike for my wife so i am never sure what she will decide needs to be polished colored or coated

i just build it then let her tell me what she want it finished like

happy wife happy life lol

Mine is held in with two bolts, once removed it drops to the ground.

Looking good.
Looks like you're taking a similar path to the cx I'm working on but you're ahead of me. Works well for me. I'll be keeping an eye on your build.
