1979 cb650 exhausts

So I'm down to the exhaust but not sure which direction I want to go. The only options really available that Ive found for a 1979 cb650 were the MAC systems which I haven't heard many good thing about, cheap metal bad chrome etc etc. I do have a pair of headers I got that were chopped at the bend where the header meets the rest of the exhaust and a full exhaust with good headers but a rusty muffler end. I was thinking of chopping the full one and buying some slip ons and calling it a day. What do you think? What are some of your guys experiences with these exhaust systems? Anyone ever go MAC, found another brand/option? Are there other cb650 years compatible with the 79? Thanks in advanced for your time and input.

I went through the same thing when my right side exhaust pipe finally decided to break through after rusting straight through where the drain hole was. Bought an ebay replacement and rode it till the engine seized. I had heard the same thing about MAC but will find out if another company makes them.

this is hands down the nicest exhaust you will be able to buy for your cb650. Nothing else available will make the power and torque this system makes either.

I've decided now that I need a new exhaust ;D
