Bobber built a while ago, but never posted

this is the absolute tits.......

absolutely love what you have done.....

it looks killer....(ide love to ride it too!!!)

so how did u do the cooling fins on the engine??

were the cylinder block fins ground/cut down so they were all fairly uniform.. then some alloy fins were cut out of sheet/plate to the dimensions of the original fins....then slid down the block and tig'd from the bottom up??

this has to be one of the best mods ive ever seen to get a unique and original looking motor.... ide love to know more.
thanks

They aren't all the way around the engine. They were cut to butte up to each other on either side.

Also the engine block fins were not modified so the fins are actually tapered to fit on one side.

Easy Swivel... No reason to be rude dude...

The post of dyno request wasn't deleted... I'm working on that right now

BTW thanks for cross posting the specs as they are pretty much similar.

All but the weight is about 5lbs less than the cafe.
The carb is not 36 it's 34 on this bike.
Front and rear brakes are TT500 magnesium
and the paint was done by Brian Loker
This is a wheelie machine.

Sorry to hijack, but for fucks sake Swivel. SHUT UP. Show a single bike you've built or even owned. Until than, fuck off.

I got nothing against you personally, Swivel (How could I, I've never met ya) but you just used the "Canadian girlfriend" defense man.

Here's a few pics of those fins.

This might help for those that wanted to do something like it.

What a masterpiece.

I really appreciate the way the lines flow from the rear of your gas tank to the nose of the seat. I also dig the skinny & fat tyre combo.

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers

Steve

Awesome bike man, could hardly believe it is a SR500 ;D

You did right!

Beautiful F-ing bike bro! It's hard to find a well executed swing arm build. I love it.

What did you use for the front wheel?

The wheels were hand-laced by pops and hubs are DL racing.
