is it at all possible to run just a small capacitor with enough juice to start the bike up under the tank somewhere? so i can get rid of that fricken giant brick battery?? this is on a CB900 with no kickstart obviously... but it'd be fuckin' sweet if that were a possibility.. anyone ever done it?

Nope - capacitors don't hold that much electricity. It would have to be able to power the coils and have enough to spin the starter motor as well.

Have you looked into a Shorai battery (or similar)?

could you please post some better pics of the machine. it looks sweet. sorry cant help w battery info.

they are not the cheapest things but here is one:

Shorai batteries are awesome enough CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) to start the bike and run what is needed yet small enough to do the shot put with.

Disclaimer: danejurrous in no way shape or form suggests that you should do the shot put with any battery.

Curious as to what exhaust you are running. I have a cb900 as well and the one my bike came with is rusted and dented, so in the market for a new one.
