Not long after that last post, the bike got a slight revision before I sold it along to a fellow in Australia; the handlebars got changed to drag bars (a better look, in my opinion).
I cruised the bike around for a while; it would keep right up with freeway traffic and just walk away with a twist of the wrist. VERY torquey.
I made a few bucks on the deal, nowhere near what I put into building it.
Present-day note: Freddie passed away in 2014, and his family invited me to give a eulogy at his funeral; they were rolling in the aisles laughing when I desrcibed the trade at the end.
