Another cb750 bob/chop/cafe

Not sure what this bike will fall under when completed. It's an 80' with a ZX6R fork swap and a Ducati 1098 rear. First pic of when I got her home.

No idea what kind of shape any of the mechanicals are in, I'm mostly done with it now. Waiting on some shims to get a few valves back in line. Only thing I didn't do (so far) is drill out the Ducati swing arm bolt and the fork swap, had classified do that.

Jack was there to keep the factory gap. Eastwood holesaw jig works fairly well. My welding improved significantly as this project progressed.

Rear light. A lot of the welding is tack welded until I'm 1000000% sure it's final. I tend to change mind mind a lot.

A lot. Haven't finished all the welding but I'll post them tonight. I picked up a Ducati 1098 frame with a bad front wreck and used it to pull mount dimensions. Really helpful.

So, a couple cool things about the ducati 848/1098 swing arm.

It literally fit. At least on my bike.
Even lines the wheel up.
Cut the stock ducati bolt into 2 pieces the "exact" lengths of the swing arm and have it drilled out to 16mm.
Get a 400mm 16mm bolt from Fastenal, cut off and have threaded, I prefer a 1.25 pitch.

Now the uncool.
Need to move the drive (front) sprocket out 9ish mm.
I took the original honda gear and ground it down to just the spline and welded it to a 1991-2003 cb750 nighthawk. It's the correct spline but has the 525 pitch same as the the ducati rear sprocket. You'll need to grind the surface of the front gear for exact fit.

PS, and can't believe I forgot this. Started the bike tonight, hot damn, it runs! Must have got at least most of the m-unit and dyna 2000 wired right lol.
