Mounted a ring roller on a receiver hitch. Zeke is going to make a buck out of 1/4" cold rolled steel.

Re: Third Times a Charm CB175

I like the 18" mock up the best..and the additions to the shop are pretty cool ideas too

Re: Third Times a Charm CB175

Thanks guys...I really liked the 21's but Zeke HATED them. We are mocking up 19's front and rear tonight. Found this little jewel. Did Akront make a 1.85x19 40 hole?

Re: Third Times a Charm CB175

So we are thinking 240cc, big valves 180 degree crank, gear drive cams and 6 speed for this one? Or am I just projecting again?

18 are the way to go. We have a CB450 hub and alloy rim so that must be 40 hole. Can't remember where it came from though. CB160 and CB77 are 36 hole IIRC. Or have I built too many Yamaha TZ and GT750 Suzuki 36 hole wheels and lost track of what fits what?

Well we like your projections! I like the TZ, TD, hub but they are unobtanium $$$
The triumph hub if it is 8" is suppose to be better on the BEC than the cb450 hub. However it weighs a TON! Now we married the cb450 brake to a 36 hole cb77 hub on Victoria and it is phenomenal! We used the 19 rear and 18 front on Victoria.

However this build has a suitor waiting in the wings and he is also projecting. So we are giving him his options. He is sending us Ceriani 32 mm forks and triple.

Speaking of 6 speed the cb400 hawk has a six speed in it. Compatible with 175???

Are cb77 spokes and cb350 spokes interchangeable?

Re: Third Times a Charm CB175

No. 350 hubs are smaller than 77 IIRC.

hoops came in from MikesXS we got 1.85 X 19 36 hole

Since we are home of the Hawks we are going with a 200 mm cb77 front hub and brake and a Cb160 180 mm rear.
