My current project is a '75 CB750K. It has the 16" rear wheel. I just got an 18" from a 550 it has a 130mm tire like the 16" and the axle & brake fit. Here's my question, the 18" has a 37 tooth sprocket and the 16" has a 48. They aren't interchangeable, Will this combo even be streetable? Or am I wasting time on a set up that will do 200mph if you have 20 miles of straight flat but not be able to get out of its own way in town? This seems to me to be a very significant difference, a 2" taller wheel with 11 less teeth. Will it work? Has anyone else done it?
