Post a pic of your latest purchase

Ah, the Christmas season! Overloaded parcel companies, compounded by wet weather in California. That kinda weather doesn't happen here often, so things get messy when it does happen.

Nothin' much I'd like better than to post a pic of my latest purchase, but it's takin' the scenic route back and forth across the country. It's gotten close to my place a time or two. I just wish they'd toss it out the door as they drive by!

1972 Ford F250 Camper Special. going to rip out the 390 big block and C-6 Auto trans and sell to a mustang buddy, then put expedition rear axle on it with crown victoria front suspension and a 4.6/5spd combo.

Not a purchase, but I recently acquired a pair of old lockers converted to storage cabinets.

That was cool enough. But they had a bunch of stuff still inside.

Most of the stuff is spanky new too!

We just did the crown vic swap into my buddy's F100. Damn near perfect fit with minimal fab/welding. Nice truck!

Bought a brand new wiring harness set for the old "pre-lit" tree.

Here is the installation video ;D

I bought a bunch of other stuff too, but it all goes under the tree and isn't for me :)

I just got this on the old spur of the moment! 84 TS125X mostly complete but bottom end needs alot of love

Just picked up this little gem

72 Yamaha LS2.

Going in the que to be done last.

Hope your on your best game electrically, they have a DC generator/starter.
Rotors often 'go faulty' and need re-wind.
Even if it's all good, wiring is great fun ::)

Ha thanks PJ. As usual with bikes like this there is a lot missing. Most of the wiring is gone so I will have to do a fair bit of wiring anyway.

A few recent items. The socket tray is my third LAS lock a socket tray. This one will hold all my random three eighths hex bits, spark plug sockets, screwdriver bits adapters and whatever else is three eighths drive.also got grip-on locking pliers. Also I'm very impressed with this quarter inch SK socket set. It was on sale for about $175 which is a steal for 1/4in deep and shallow + metric SAE sizes. Also the case is very compact.

One thing I'm pretty excited about is the new nice file set. I really like the orange handles and the different texture and engraved metal on each that seems high quality also its made in USA. These are replacing some old worn files from Harborfreight . And then last 3 a few odds and ends like punch kit and a orange box cutter oh yeah and Wiha 6 in 1 screwdriver for around $15. Might use it in my moto - tool backpack.

I would also like to point out in the second picture is the long Alan sockets from Tekton on Amazon. These seem like it great tool for around $24 and they are perfect for working on vintage motorcycle shocks great value highly recommended.

A 1979 Kawasaki KZ400 that I made a nearly 12 hour round trip to pick up last week. Engine is seized, points cover and kick start pedal are missing and it has old RTV oozing out of nearly ever cover on the engine. Pulled the plugs and poured in a little marvel mystery oil. Put it on the back porch under a cover, where it will stay until I finish up working on the 2001 Vulcan 750 on the lift table.

Found this forum while looking around for ideas about wht to do with the KZ400 once I get the engine back to life. Liking what I've seen so far!

Voltage regulator off old Beetle will fit and isn't much bigger than stock Yamaha one ;) (just in case it's missing)
