  • The Jimbonaut:
  • I see.  Holy gear options.  The Wiseco kit is a good addition?
  • Aug 03, 2017, 15:13:47
  • Kamn:
  • 5 gears but another "outer" gear to give you a high or low version of the 5 gears
  • Aug 03, 2017, 15:12:03
  • The Jimbonaut:
  • Somehow they've got ten gears crammed in there, that sounds like exactly 5 more than I think I'll need but it's all good.  Bike sure is shiny, yeah the seat might be a bit of a monster but some new bars, shorter fenders and, well, damn
  • Aug 03, 2017, 15:08:29
  • Kamn:
  • thats awesome
  • Aug 03, 2017, 14:27:41

  • Aug 03, 2017, 13:38:07
  • The Jimbonaut:
  • I think it must be hereditary - my old man's been in the car business for all his life (he used to race too - a Lotus like Jim Clark's back in the day).  I'm on kijiji more than is healthy but just. can't. look. away.

  • I gave away a couple of 80's Goldwings. There is almost no value in them and reparing them can be very expensive. Both of mine went as parts donors for other people's projects.  I had tried to sell one in pretty decent condtion for $150 and had no takers.
  • Aug 03, 2017, 13:21:42
  • Kamn:
  • Jimbo, also plan on timing belt, water pump, and carb rebuild on those gl's are $$$........just sayin

  • The Jimbonaut:
  • Anyone have the scoop on these 80's GL's? Something about it that I really dig a lot.  Mileage looks pretty low and love me an enormous fairing
  • Aug 03, 2017, 12:15:05
  • The Jimbonaut:
  • Morning all, optimistic me is thinking my CB750 build might be almost on the road, realistic me is knowing there's something up with the clutch.  Either way, shopping around for next bike and this popped up - [link]

  • I tried to tack a nut to the end of some tubing, yesterday. Ended up with a glob of metal on the inside of the nut, then stripped my tap trying to fix it. I think I'll stick to electrical.
