"Cafe Racer" such a loose term! Craigslist "Gem" of the week!

". . . custom cafe racer that can be kept the way it is, which is 100% finished, or can turn it back to stock very easily. . ."

I feel like the above statement indicates it's not really a cafe racer if you can easily turn back the clock.

I also love how he draped a towel over the license plate to hide it. Are people that afraid of identity theft? What's to stop the jillions of people that see your license plate while you're driving down the road from doing something with that knowledge? "Oh his plate number is "XYZ123" I'm going to steal that information and rip off his identity for big bucks."
Not so much identity theft, but people crawling CL, that will get your address and come steal your shit.

Pretty cool bike except I hate that headlight.

I had a falling out with the guy that owns it, I designed the frame and real cowl, also did a lot of the work. The only thing he decided on was the headlight which doesn't go with the rest of the bike. Based on how he welds, I wouldn't take a ride on it!

I'm not sure I'd bother finishing this project. I think he's asking $800 too much. (Why do people post such crappy out of focus photos?)

Boston area is expensive and prices are inflated. I sold a really ratty SR250 for $1300 a few years back...

modifications include 110/100 compression, 6 speed, and the replacement of common parts that typically wear out and need replacing. Plus, as an added bonus, he took out the starter wiring but left the starter in -- reduced functionality with all the weight retained! Dude must be high AF, especially for that price in Spokane.

This is what happens when you pay someone else to build a bike for you. He's probably taking a loss at that.

"...a must see cafe racer, street tracker, or brat style bike. if you want to be a dick and tell me what kind of bike it is or isn't but aren't interested in purchasing the bike, don't contact me..."

Well, he can't seem to make up his mind what it is; why shouldn't someone tell him?
I know what it isn't: it isn't a $4500 bike.
I'd give him $3000 (Canadian) tops. IF he includes shipping it to Canada, on a unicorn, guarded by a bear with a mini gun.

This guy was looking for parts for his wheel.

I would love to have something like this even just to hang on the wall.

I think he is on crack with that price but it's actually an 84 first year with low miles. Fantastic motor or so it seems

Maybe someone will contradict me, but here is a guy shotting for the moon. Its basically a bottom end that needs rebuilt, a new top end, a non titled frame (no swingarm), iffy carbs, and a decent tank without any hardware for $1000... Maybe on ebay it would fetch 1000 parted out (I think that would be lucky). But with alot of time and 30% fees anyone would be underwater. I hit him up (I have alot of what it needs) but he's pretty set on price.

Wow, that's tough to price. It's missing a lot of stuff but what is there (important stuff) looks to be in good condition or is new/NOS. It doesn't have a title but it is an RD 350, which are not all that common on the ground in any condition. I'm in the Cincy area and I rarely see any on Craigslist or out running around for that matter. If it was complete without a title that would be a good price. If it were in that condition but did have a title then that would be a good price. I probably would not pay $1000 for it but I bet someone will - so if I really wanted it then I guess I'd probably do it. If I already had a lot of the missing parts then I'd be a lot more comfortable with it.
