A good day for a run through The Royal!

The weather was good and we had a car-free run south.

An unexpected day off work; the perfect thing for dealing with all those neglected chores!

So I went for a ride instead.

Headed for the Royal, and was met by this:

Water was too deep, too fast, and concealed logs.

This turned my day from good to perfect!

The flood meant a traffic free road and, more importantly, no speed cops!

I detoured to the entrance at Waterfall, and had perfect each-way runs, with the Waterfall twisties as a bonus.

There were few people at Bald Hill, but the 'Ace' attracted the usual attention, until this bike parked next to me:

Less than 24 hours old!

But he didn't take it on the park road.

Sounds like the dream run!
but does 4 aces beat an Indian?
guess not? but you pay for that !

The Indian weighs more than four Aces, probably costs about seven Aces, but still wouldn't risk going into The Royal!

Did a Monday morning run through The Royal.

It was damp and cool in the valleys:

But dry and sunny at Bald Hill:

There was just enough onshore breeze to allow those who are that way inclined to leap from the cliff:

The 'Ace' was the only bike on Bald Hill when I arrived; so different to the crowd on the weekends!

It's just starting to warm up and is getting lighter on a night. AT LAST.
 
A suggestion well ahead of time.

I will be going to the Winter Rally (near Nerriga) on the weekend of 12/13 July.

As this is a rally, the only conditions that will prevent me going will have to be on the scale of a cyclone, tsunami, or earthquake!
