what do people make chain sliders out of?

I'm extending the swingarm on my CB350 to increase shock travel and compensate for the CB450 stem which will decrease the wheelbase. Anyhow, the longer chain may slap and I'd like to protect my soon-to-be powdercoated swingarm. I want to mill out a little protector and mount to the existing chainguard mount but don't know what material to make it out of. Is there a specific or recommended type of plastic/polymer that I can purchase and use?

Delrin. You can order it by the foot. 2" or so diameter. Plenty of plastic supply houses online carry it. Having a lathe helps. You can make one with hole saws too but it takes more work. I did one in my kz750 thread and another member Doc_rot did a nice one on his kz1000 thread.
